My TTC story

My story began years ago - I kind of knew, early on, that having children was going to be a difficult task for me.   At 17, my menstrual cycles started going haywire.  I mean, crazy.  Over the years, I had a couple of biopsies, did the Provera route to induce periods,(holy hell)  and finally settled on birth control to regulate.  Birth Control made no sense,  because I wanted children.  But at the same time, I was afraid to let my cycles get too out of hand, because I knew that it would pose a health risk, down the road.    I was diagnosed, somewhere in all that craziness, with PCOS with anovulation.

Even with knowing that I couldn't get pregnant on my own, I refused to try any medical intervention to conceive.   It felt unnatural to me.  I was strictly relying on my prayers, Faith and determination.    But, then realizing I was not getting younger, nor was my husband..... in July of 2014, I finally gave in and tried Clomid.   I fell pregnant by December.   Which was amazing; 3 months worth of Clomid and I'm pregnant?!   After years of trying?       I always heard Clomid was a miracle drug... and I guess it was.
Unfortunately, it was an ectopic pregnancy.    I was treated with methotrexate, on December 30,  but it didn't work and my tube ruptured, somewhere around the weekend of January 10th.
Little baby was holding on all that time.
We waited for my body to heal from major surgery, and started trying again in May 2015.

Here's hoping we get our rainbow baby!
